The Brooklyn raised Notorious B.I.G. was one of the fastest rising rap stars of 1990’s. Biggie Smalls recorded his first demo after being released from jail. He was then signed onto Sean “Diddy” Combs’s record label not long after.

Despite some ups and downs, Smalls became one of the central figures of the East coast hip hop scene after being featured on a Mary J. Blige track in 1993.

Less than a year later Smalls’ albums were going multi-platinum. The Notorious B.I.G. died in 1997 at the age of 24, but is still considered to be one of the most celebrated and influential artists in the rap game.
